Interior design – ALBERTO FANTINI ARCHITECTS
The design proposal for Hotel La Nona seeks to give the building a new character by reconfiguring the exterior envelope, rooftop, and a new room layout.
The exteriors, which currently show unevenness in the articulation of the various elevations, are unified by a mesh of steel beams and pillars: these allow loggias to be configured for the different mini-apartments and become the structure on which the vertical greenery clings, helping to change its appearance in each season.
The ground floor entrance, the calling card for the hotel and rooftop, is a double glass volume with a plant wall at the bottom. From here it is possible to access the compartment of the vertical connections that distribute the apartments and provide access to the top level with the skybar.
The configuration of the rooftop features a central green island, which divides the space into two areas: that of the bar counter with some sofa areas, small tables, and seating for quick consumption, and the second area with the loggia and lounges overlooking the pine forest.
The new layout of the rooms, on the other hand, takes its cue from the desire to contaminate different styles and find a synthesis between boho, minimal trends and a typically Mediterranean taste. Earth colors were chosen for the surfaces and fabrics, while black profiles organize the storage parts in bands and define the spaces.
